DIY Votive Holders: 3 Ways

If you love votive candles and customizing the look of your home décor, we’ve got the perfect DIY for you. Put your own spin on scented votive candle holders with the three designs below! They’re quick, easy, and oh so special.
Votive Holder 1
Materials needed: Greenleaf Gifts votive candles, clear glass votive holders, a metallic Sharpie®, matches or a lighter.
Instructions: Use your Sharpie® to create a fun design on each votive holder. We’ve gone for polka dots, confetti stripes, and triangles, but you could easily customize this design with chevron stripes, constellations, or adding your monogram! Allow the ink to dry, then add a votive to each holder and light it to enjoy the finished product!
Votive Holder 2
Materials needed: Greenleaf Gifts votive candles, clear glass votive holders, patterned scrapbook paper, craft punch, scissors, double-sided tape, matches or a lighter.
Instructions: Punch out a string of paper long enough to wrap around the votive holder. Attach one end of the paper to the votive holder with a small piece of double-sided tape, wrap the paper around the votive, and attach the other end with a small piece of double-sided tape. Add your favorite votive candle to the holder and light it to enjoy your one-of-a-kind fragrance décor!
Votive Holder 3
Materials needed: Greenleaf Gifts votive candles, clear glass votive holders, a square sponge paint brush, acrylic paint, 1 sheet of paper.
Instructions: Place a dab of paint on the paper. Dip the end of your square sponge paint brush in the paint, and lightly brush up from the bottom edge of the votive holder, about half-way up the holder, applying less pressure as you brush upward. Rotate the holder, repeating the upward brush motion until you’ve brushed all the way around the holder. Allow the paint to dry, then add votive to the holder, light it, and voila!
